Civil Case Management Orders for the Fourth Judicial Circuit

Pursuant to instructions from the Supreme Court of Florida, Chief Judge Mark Mahon has entered the following orders regarding Civil Case Management and Resolution in Circuit Court and County Court for the Fourth Judicial Circuit.  All civil practitioners should review these orders prior to filing any civil case in Duval,
Clay or Nassau Counties.
 

Civil Case Management Administrative Orders


CASES FILED AFTER MARCH 1, 2023

Administrative Order No.2023-05


CASES FILED BEFORE APRIL 30, 2021
 
  • A Case Management Plan is not required for cases in which (a) a Uniform Order Setting Case for Jury Trial, an Order for Pre-Trial Conference and Requiring Pre-Trial Matters to be Completed, or other order setting the case for trial has been filed and served and is in force and effect; (b) an order establishing case management deadlines has previously been filed and served and is in full force and effect; or (c) a Petition for Transfer of Settlement Rights has been filed.  
  • All parties must use the template for Case Management Plans attached as Exhibits A and B to Administrative Order 2021-21. 
  • The Case Management Plan must be filed with the Clerk and not with the Judge or Judicial Assistant.
  • All inquiries must go to Casemanagers@coj.net and include the case number and division in the subject line.
