Compliance Review Hearing Information

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT DOMESTIC VIOLENCE INJUNCTIONS COMPLIANCE REVIEW HEARINGS:

NOTE: NOT SUBMITTING PROOF OF COMPLIANCE AND NOT APPEARING AT THE REVIEW HEARING MAY RESULT IN THE ISSUANCE OF A WRIT OF ATTACHMENT FOR THE RESPONDENT'S ARREST. IF ARRESTED, THE RESPONDENT MAY BE HELD IN JAIL FOR UP TO 48 HOURS BEFORE APPEARING BEFORE A JUDGE.

1. What the Judge ordered you to complete will be found in the Order Setting Review Hearing and in the final order of protection.

• Complete a Certified Batterers' Intervention Program (click for local program information)

NOTE: IF YOU LIVE OUTSIDE OF DUVAL COUNTY, YOU CAN FIND A CERTIFIED BIP PROVIDER IN YOUR COUNTY ON DCF’S WEBSITE (CLICK HERE)

• Complete Anger Management Class (click for online program information)
• Complete a TASC/Substance Abuse Evaluation AND complete any recommended treatment. (click for local program information)
• Complete a Mental Health Evaluation AND complete recommended treatment. (click for local program information )

2. Review hearings are set throughout the time you’re completing your program or treatment. You are required to have proof of what you have done up to that point.

3. You can submit proof in one of the following ways:

• You can E-mail it to DVCompliance@coj.net:
  (Make sure the documents are clear and legible. The best way would be to attach the proof as a PDF document)
• Bring it in person to the courthouse, Room 2150 (Window B)
• E-file through the Florida E-portal: Electronic filing system at www.myflcourtaccess.com (You must register for an account to file documents through the e-portal. (Watch Instructional video)

4. It is you and/or your attorney’s responsibility to confirm that your proof of compliance has been received and filed with the court.

NOTE:IF YOU SUBMIT PROOF OF COMPLIANCE BEFORE THE HEARING DAY AND DO NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE CANCELLING AND/OR RESCHEDULING YOUR HEARING; PLEASE CONTACT THE CASE MANAGER OR APPEAR AT THE HEARING.
